Whether you are a serious enthusiast or simply like the romance of steam travel, Snowdonia has a wealth of narrow gauge railway track allowing travellers to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain.
There's something about a stream train isn't there? The following railways are all within a maximum of a 40 minute drive from us.
2.5 hours return journey, including half an hour at the top.Ascend to 3,560 ft, the summit of Snowdon with ease and take in the stunning views (weather permitting of course!) in relative comfort. Book tickets in advance as it can get very busy.
It can get cold towards the top even in the train in summer, so make sure you take warm clothing including hat and gloves just in case.
Llanberis Lake
Approx. 45 minute return journey. A charming ride along the shores of Lake Padarn with glorious views across to Llanberis and majestic Snowdon above.
