The Welsh 3000s (The 14 Peaks)

Reach the summit of all the Welsh mountains over 3000ft within the space of 24 hours, without using transport. A 24 mile challenge.


The Llanberis Mountain Film Festival, LLAMFF

Friday 3rd February to Sunday 5th February
The event was first established in 2002. A combination of film, photography, literature and lectures dedicated to the mountains.


Anglesey Half Marathon

The route is undulating yet quick but most of all it is incredibly stunning. Starting on the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge and running in front of the gorgeous Snowdonia backdrop this race is truly one of a kind.

The Snowdon 500/Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May
Charity challenges to raise awareness about prostate cancer and raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

Take part in the Snowdon 500 Challenge climbing Mt. Snowdon (the highest mountain in England & Wales) or try the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge; a unique opportunity to climb 3 of the most iconic mountains in Wales.
You will climb Pen Y Fan (Brecon Beacons) and then Cadair Idris (Mid Wales) on Saturday 7th May and after an overnight stop in Llanberis you climb Mt Snowdon on Sunday 8th May 2015.

The Slateman Snowdonia Triathlon

Money raised goes to REGAIN, supporting men and women who have become severley paralysed following a sporting accident.

Brutal Extreme Triathlon

A brutal set of challenges on and around Snowdon. "The Brutal Extreme Triathlons start in the beautiful (and sometimes slightly chilly) Lake Padarn. The bike course goes through stunning scenery and over some challenging hills. And finally, the run takes you on a undulating trail round the lake and up and down Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon."
